Press Release: REPTILE EXPO OFFERS UNIQUE, AFFORDABLE FAMILY FUN
MANHATTAN, Kan. — For those looking to spend their weekend doing something out of the ordinary, a room full of reptiles is just the ticket.
“The Konza Reptile Expo has the greatest selection of snakes in the area, plus it’s a great family experience and there’s an abundance of knowledge and supplies,” said past Expo attendee and reptile owner Sean Langston.
On display will be an assortment of live geckos, lizards, snakes, frogs, turtles, tarantulas, scorpions and more. The Expo offers a day of education and entertainment for the whole family, as well as the best prices on reptiles and supplies in the Manhattan area.
“Though pet owners can get most of what they need from area supply stores, at the Expo they will find information and specialty products that are not provided locally,” Dave Karnowski, event organizer, said. “Plus, this event is a great opportunity for reptile enthusiasts and curious community members to see and experience a wide variety of scaly creatures.”
Captive reptile breeders, otherwise known as herpetoculturists, will also gather to display and market their products and to educate the public. This event is meant to widen the potential market of the Midwest region for vendors to buy, sell and trade product.
Admission is $9, or $8 with military or student ID. Children under 5 are admitted free of charge. Vendor booths are available for a fee and can be reserved in advance. Tables may be available on a walk-in basis if space permits.
